An Ops-Core style, light weight “bump” helmet with holes in the shell to provide air flow while still protecting the wearers head from bumps and light strikes. These are equipped with a night vision shroud for using night vision devices as well as rails for attaching ear protection and other helmet accessories. They were first seen being used around 2009 primarily with special forces units. The bump helmet is ideal for individuals conducting training or do not need the ballistic protection.
