This M1 helmet is a 1950s pattern M1 helmet as indicated by the clipped-on OD7 chinstraps. This helmet is also equipped with a metal 4 star General’s insignia mounted to the front of the helmet. A set up like this would be used from the early 1950s to early 1980s.
