HAT/HEADGEAR: Cap, Service, Fur Felt, Shade 62
COAT: Coat, Winter (semi-dress), Wool Elastique, Olive Drab Shade 51 (dark shade)
INSIGNIA: On the collar of the coat, block letters “U.S.” and on the lapels of the coat, branch of service insignia (crossed rifles for infantry).
Officer’s Insignia of Grade, pinned to both shoulder loops (gold oak leaf for the rank of major).
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, Current Assignment worn on upper left shoulder.
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, Former Wartime Service worn on upper right shoulder.
Combat Infantryman’s Badge, oxidized finish.
Four service ribbons, from top reading right to left, The American Defense Service Medal, The American Campaign Medal, The European, African and Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, The World War Two Victory Medal.
SHIRT: Summer, Semi dress, Army Shade 61. Necktie, cotton warp, mohair filling olive drab, Army Shade 51.
PANTS: Trousers, Winter, Semi dress, Wool Elastique, Army Drab Shade 54.
SHOES: Shoes, Service, Army Russet Leather.

NOTES: The U.S. Army reclassified the officer’s service dress uniform as “semi dress” in 1949 with the reintroduction of the Army Blue Dress uniforms. This was the final version of the famous “Pinks and Greens” before they began to be phased out in 1956.
