This style of M1 helmet liner was standard issue from 1943 to the early 1960s. This would be best suited for World War Two with the brass eyelet at the front of the helmet, 9 rivet webbed suspension and leather chinstrap. Helmets of this pattern continued to be used well after WWII until supplies were exhausted.
