Info: The Glock pistol was designed in 1982 as a striker fired, short recoil action pistol. It also uses a high strength polymer frame, an uncommon material used in firearms of the time, allowing it to better adapt to extreme conditions such as extreme cold where metals can become brittle as well as being lighter weight than metal framed pistols. Glock handguns are known for their simplicity, ease of use and reliability. Though not officially adopted by the US military, it is commonly seen being used by US special operations units as well seeing extensive use by law enforcement agencies and other militaries world wide.
